Privacy Policy — Playlist Manager for YouTube

Last updated: 2026-09-11

Playlist Manager for YouTube (“the extension”) is built to be private by design. In plain terms: the extension collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere.

What the extension does

The extension runs only on https://www.youtube.com. It reads and edits your own YouTube playlists using YouTube’s own web API, through the session you are already signed into in your browser. All of this happens locally, on your computer.

Data we collect

None. The extension has no servers, no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, and no account system. We never see, receive, or transmit your data.

Data stored on your device

For convenience, the extension saves a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage (chrome.storage.local):

This data never leaves your device and is removed if you uninstall the extension or clear the browser’s data for the extension.

Permissions

Third parties

The extension does not share data with any third party. Your interactions with YouTube are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
